Top Radio and NBS TV lunch time sports presenter Allan Ssewanyana a.k.a Bwino managed a landslide victory over Hussein Kyanjo’s son in the highly contested for parliamentary seat elections of the Makindye west seat.
The NBS presenter joined Kato Lubwama, Peter Sematimba, Judith Babirye among the celebrity entertainers who joined politics and won. Allan Ssewanyana has been a city councillor representing the people of Makindye and is remembered for stepping on the table as he almost grabbed Frank Tumwebaze’s neck while addressing other Councillors about impeaching Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
