Our own Anita Beryl under the ‘Beryl Qouture’ fashion brand will be showcasing its latest collection in Lagos Nigeria, at the prestigious Africa Fashion Week, happening on the 1st and 2nd of July,2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Nigeria. “We can’t contain this happiness. “We are so excited to be apart of this year’s Africa Fashion”, an excited Beryl revealed.
Today, Anita Beryl has become one of the leading design experts in Uganda. Her impeccable design skills and ability to create the most elegant, sophisticated and timeless pieces has made her the number one go-to expert when it comes to fashion design in Uganda.
Beryl attained her first fashion training at UberGlam, in Johannesberg South Africa, before joining,French Fashion University, ESMOD.
In 2011, BERYL QOUTURE By Anita Beryl was opened to the world, and the brand quickly set out to establish itself as Haute Qouture and ready to wear clothing and accessory franschise for all genders.
Beryl Anita, who serves as proprietor and creative director at the brand, has over the years been notably known for her unique and quite elegant pieces, something that has many of her clients turning to her all the time.
Through her brand, the fashion designer has been able to rise through the years, and distinctively earned her spot on the top fashion gurus In Uganda.
Fashion Showcases.
Having been at the helm for three consequitive years at the annual Bride & Groom expo, Beryl has also had the privilege of highlighting her amazing works at various fashion runways in and around Kampala including Hub of Africa Fashion Showcase in Addis Ababa, Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (2014), The Genesis Fashion Show (2015) and so many others.
In May,2016 Beryl was one of five Ugandan designers hand picked to showcase during the Multichoice Africa Day Celebrations held at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The collection,that was African themed received great reviews from both the guests and the press present at the event.
Milestones and Recognition.
Anita Beryl is a double nominee for the Fashion designer of the year for theAbryanz Style & Fashion Awards (2014 &2015).
Because of her great contribution to the fashion industry in Uganda, Beryl has been featured in a number of publications including Flair Magazine, 2016( Women in Business), Daily Monitor(Redefining Bridal Fashion in Uganda), The Observor, New Vision, Bride & Groom magazine, and so many others.
She has also been featured as guest panelist on the NTV Style Project for their bridal season segment.
