Sorry, golden band fans-the group might be torn apart and could meet a regrettable death following a feud between two core members Ronald Mayinja and Fred Sseruga.
A friction has been brewing between the two giants since mid this year. According to a band insider “Sseruga feels he should be earning more than Mayinja because the group has been surviving off his song, Sonyiwa baano, for the past many months”
The relationship has been as good as bad in the group, “Mayinja seems to be losing interest in the band,†the source says.
“Recently, they almost came to blows when Sseruga proflaimed, Mayinja has faded and worn out”
Others reports suggest that after an intervention and several meetings, the group director, Kavuma decided to retain Mayinja and dismiss Fred out of the band, something which has since angered Catherine Kusasira (Sseruga’s hubby). She is also threatening to follow her baby daddy.
