Government issues strict rules and Guidelines on private Cars.

Police clearly came out last week and revealed that Face masks are a must for all private car occupants when they are back on the road this week, anyone found without the protective gear will be arrested and charged in the courts of law.

Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, revealed yesterday while addressing the media as Uganda partly lifts the lockdown. The 7pm curfew time is also to be adhered to, with any car found on the road after, impounded. Occupants will be arrested.

These government guidelines on private vehicles come as the state aims to slow the spread of the global epidemic.

President Yoweri Museveni eased the tough lockdown rules by allowing private automibiles back on the road this week.

“Any private vehicle got on the road beyond curfew hours will be impounded, occupants arrested,” said Enanga while addressing a presser at the Uganda Media Centre.
