When artistes came out to premier the NRM campaign song ‘Tubonga Nawe’,the public came out to criticize and attack every artiste who featured on it,But among them is Bebe Cool who has vowed on from day one to support and he is seen at every campaign trail of President Museveni’s rallies. However,he explained to Kawa FM an online radio why he chose to support President Museveni as quoted below;
“We were many artistes who came out to support President but then am the main force in this as the others chickened out,I came out to support President Museveni (i have always supported him way back) cause i took time and studied him,he has good education,security,developmental policies.Its just that some people are short sighted,some people can’t see that and have to be dragged with a rope to development.None of those candidates (presidential aspirants) has really conceived me that can lead this country,there only problem is that the president has been in power for over 30 years,so there problem is change yet their manifestos are still weak to lead this Country. Yes,President Museveni has not done enough but he has always convinced me with the way he handles this country especially Security wise and his love for this Country. Besigye has no good security policies for this country nor does he have any good relationship with the army. Mbabazi and Besigye all they can say is that they will increase the army salaries yet they haven’t told us how they will manage to get that money (from what sources).I was so happy that this presidential debate happened,it showed us that these people had no figures in their manifestos (like how they can create jobs according to the unemployed ratios in the country,its only Museveni who could have provided such information cause  he knows better). President Museveni is a wise man,that’s why he took over power with ease in 1986. he has held over 220 rallies around the country cause he knows how to reach his people.he is the one who only makes official rallies not stop overs,So his victory in this year’s elections wont be a surprise to me. Mbabazi is a snake,he shouldn’t have betrayed President Museveni because he has always defended him in all circumstances especially his Temangalo land wrangles and misusing government money.”.
