Radio and Weasel in ‘Hot Soup’ after failing to appear in Court

Africa’s dynamic duo, Radio and Weasel’s failure to appear before Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court, where they were summoned to appear over offensive video communication charges against Jeff Kiwa, has landed them into hot soup with the State authorities.

The ‘Magnetic’ hit makers did not appear in court  on Tuesday afternoon as was expected but they were represented by their lawyer Mudde John Bosco, who informed court that the ‘singers’ didn’t receive court summons and are currently in Nairobi attending Coke studio competition.

Immaculate Angutto who is the State Prosecutor asked Makindye Grade One Magistrate, Nakitende Juliet to allow the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to take over the matter as mandated by the constitution of the Republic of Uganda.

The next hearing was set on Friday 15th July 2015 to give ruling on the issue of arrest warrant and on DPP’s request to take over prosecution of this matter. The court session was attended by Jeff Kiwa, his brother Allan Kiwa and musician Waden.
