Rapper Lil Wayne’s BET Weekend celebration apparently did not go on well as might have wanted as slugged a club bouncer during the Awards after party that he was hosting with 2 Chainz Sunday, TMZ reports.
The Club bouncer filed a battery report with the LAPD against the ‘Make it Rain’ rapper. He says Wayne confronted him when he would not let his crew into Hyde, a nightclub on Sunset in Hollywood, California. The worker was transported to a hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
Lil Wayne’s camp says that the whole thing is a misunderstanding. They say ‘Weezy’ didn’t punch the bouncer and that he worked in the rapper’s VIP section, not the front door. They say the confrontation occurred because the worker accidentally grabbed Wayne’s arm while he was entering.
Lil Wayne performed with 2 Chainz at the BET Experience Saturday and were both nominated for Best Group at the Awards.
