On a fateful Boxing Day,the innocent revelers headed to the beaches to shake off stress not knowing it will be their last time to see their families. Over 50 people reported missing, 20 bodies recovered from the lake-shore surrounding Aero, Lido and Speenah Beaches believed to be Boxing day revelers who drowned under unknown circumstances.
However,when i tried calling one of Speenah beach’s PRO who instead made his phone busy and texting me back about how he was busy in the meeting yet i had just seen him in town. The Police has ordered for the closure of all beaches in the country. This is probably the worst Christmas disaster in Uganda’s history. May the Lord strengthen their families.(RIP)
