1.Mr. Mosh
Mr Mosh started music with the likes of Bebe Cool and Ragga Dee in this industry and at one time he had a monster hit ‘Digi’ featuring the then unknown Ngoni. With collabos like Nubian Queen, Mr Mosh’s future in the industry was bright until when he slowly went off the radar, venturing into Mceeing and radio.
2.Dorothy Bukirwa
Dorothy will go down in the history books as one of the greatest voices to ever be heard on the airwaves of Uganda. With her breakthrough hit ‘Nubian Queen’ featuring Mosh, Juliana and Iryn Namubiru were given a run for their money for sometime till she disappeared even up to now.
3.Benon Mugumbya
With Benon its like he just abandoned the industry hence he doubted his ability to make his name be heard outside Uganda. Another wasted voice in the industry, though he has now settled well as a producer and song writer at his Swangz Avenue studio.
4.Buki Soljah
Very few reggae and dance hall music in Uganda can recognize him, Buki Soljah is another wasted talent who perhaps would be even better than Apass if he had a good management. Buki Soljah spends his time on weed and himself than his career. A little soon enough he will quit music.
5.Mickie Wine
Of course we couldn’t expect him to shine past his big brother Bobi Wine, all what we expect was for him to keep in the lane as late AK 47 did, remembered his hot collabo ‘Yanimba’ which brought Kenzo to the lime light, Mickie Wine went ahead to do ‘Number One’ with Cindy who had just parted way with Blu*3. But as years went by, the ‘Sulubada’ singer also accelerated off the radar till now. He still does music though we never expected much from him atleast he would have kept on near where Kenzo and Cindy are.
6.Henry Tigan
Just as its said, talent, hard work and good manners move together. After falling out with his manager Suudi man, Henry Tigan’s music career has never been the same. With his last hit song being ‘Vvoom Vvoom’, the singer spent his time in Firebase as a mediocre till finally when the industry forgot about him to date. Henry Tigan was another promising talent and at one time he was nominated in the PAM Awards as Male artiste of the year.
7.Dizzy Nuts
Many ragga dance hall artistes wished to ever be blessed with such a voice. At one time, he shared a table with Nigeria’s 2 Face at the KORA awards ceremony. Some how, Dizzy Nuts parted ways with Bebe Cool and slowly went off the music radar.
8.Jackie Chandiru
Jackie’s obsession with drugs and good management is killing her career. She is not where she is supposed to be ‘musically’, jackie is another wasted talent and very soon we shall not hear her.
9.Red Banton
Per now, Red Banton only makes news while having sex with a mourner at a funeral (Hope you remember what happened at the burial of AK 47) or when he is arrested for drunk. driving.
10.Davis Ntare
One of the greatest male voices in Uganda, Davis had everyone’s hopes very high when he won Tusker Project 4. The ‘dreaded’ singer was quickly signed to Swangz Avenue, a few months later he featured on the ‘Whistle song’ by Locomotives. Ever since then, Davis disappeared on the music scene, he is always seen walking around town and on events with Benon Mugumbya.
