UPDATE: 10 new COVID-19 cases confirmed from track drivers

On Wednesday 20 May, 10 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed.

Of these, 9 new cases are truck drivers while 1 case is a contact to a confirmed truck driver.

Following a Presidential Directive of deducting all foreign truck drivers from Uganda’s case count,the confirmed COVID-19 cases now stand at 145.

A total of 11 foreign truck drivers were handed over to their country of origin.

Total foreign truck drivers handed over to their country of origin since Presidential directivea is now 124.

Truck Drivers tested Wednesday were 1,264.

Community samples tested were 233.

Total samples tested were 1,497.
