     Pastors and evangelists lead religious congregations. They support and give advice to individuals, families, communities and ultimately, they end up having millions of followers throughout the world. Some religious leaders figured out a way to earn a lot of money, and a few of them have even built multi-million dollar empires. According to Richest Lifestyle, here is a list of the world’s richest religious leaders. You will be surprised to see that many of them are from Africa.

   10. Joseph Prince, $5 Million (Singapore)This Singaporean pastor makes $550,000 per year. He is the senior pastor of the New Creation Church in Singapore, which is one of Asia’s biggest churches. His TV program, Destined to Reign, is broadcast in more than 150 countries

9. Chris Okotie, $3-10 Million (Nigeria)-tied Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie is the leader of the Household of God Church International Ministries, a Pentecostal church in Lagos. In addition to leading congregations, Okotie is involved in politics, he ran for presidency three times, in 2003, 2007 and 2011. The once pop musician loves cars, he reportedly treated himself with a 2014 Rolls-Royce Phantom.

8. Matthew Ashimolowo, $6-10 Million (Nigeria)-tied Matthew leads Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Center in London, which is the largest Pentecostal church in the UK. He converted to Christianity from Islam at the age of 22, after his father passed away. Ashimolowo earns most of his revenues from the Christian literature and documentaries that his media company sells.

7. T.B. Joshua, $10- 15 Million (Nigeria)Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly know as T.B. Joshua, is a Christian minister and televangelist. He is the leader and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). His church runs the Emmanuel TV television station in Lagos. T.B. Joshua was recognized as one of Africa’s 50 most influential people by Pan-African magazine The Africa Report in 2012.

6. T. D. Jakes, $18 Million (United States)Thomas Dexter is the bishop of The Potter’s House, a non-denominational American church. He leads over 30,000 members. T.D. Jakes is launching a new talk show. “It is not a faith-based show,” Jakes said. “I have a vehicle through which I can express that. But I cannot deny that when I sit down at the table, all of my faith sits down with me. All of my fatherhood sits down with me. All of my ethnicity sits down with me. I can only give what I am.”

5. Billy Graham, $25 Million (United States)He is a southern Baptist minister who became famous in 1949, addressing to the white, middle-class, and moderately conservative Protestants. Graham was a spiritual adviser to many American presidents, such as Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson, and Richard Nixon. Graham also preached alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. at a revival meeting in New York City in 1957. He bailed King out of jail in the 1960s when he was arrested in demonstrations.

He has long been criticized for living a lavish lifestyle. Dollar owns a private jet, two Rolls-Royce cars, and several multi-million dollar real estate properties.

3. Benny Hinn, $42 Million (United States)Benny Hinn is an Israeli-American Christian evangelist and Bible teacher. He is famous for his Miracle Crusades summits, that are usually held in stadiums in major cities, and his television program called This Is Your Day. Not too long ago, Hinn was admitted to a California hospital after experiencing shortness of breath.

2. Chris Oyakhilome, $50 Million (Nigeria)Christian Oyakhilome, or Pastor Chris, is the founding president of Believers’ Love World Incorporated. The church is also called “Christ Embassy”. Headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, this church has more than 40,000 members. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s organizes events around the world, reuniting of over 2.5 million people in a single night. To date, Pastor Chris has more than 1 million Twitter followers.

1. David Oyedepo, $150 Million (Nigeria)He is the world’s richest pastor. In 1981, Bishop David Oyedepo founded the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry. His church has become one of the largest congregations in Africa. In 2005, Oyedepo built a 50,000-seat capacity auditorium, the Faith Tabernacle. It supposedly is the largest church auditorium in the world.
