Actor ‘Philip Luswata’ released by Police, talks to the media

Veteran Actor and screen play writer, Philip Luswata has been released by Police without any charges pressed against him. Luswata revealed that his arrest came after he wanted to meet the speaker of parliament to discuss with her about the ‘National theatre’ saga but didn’t manage to meet her instead he met her secretary who accepted the idea but advised him to put his petition in writing. After leaving the Parliament premises, he proceeded to National theatre to demonstrate and along his way, the police intercepted him.

Luswata further narrates that while at CPS , he engaged with the DPC ‘Bakaleke’ and Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Mwesigwa. In the meeting, they discussed as to why he was demonstrating, Mwesigwa promised to follow up the case.

“There is still hope, I clearly explained everything to the speaker as instructed to put in writing by her personal secretary. let’s pray it reaches to her”,  Luswata revealed while addressing the media
