Since radio stations are supposed to be politically independent,CBS a radio station owned by the Buganda Kingdom saw the need to resign and send off its presenters that had decided to join active politics by holding a party to thank them for the good work done over the years.
Veteran CBS presenter and Comedian actor Kato Lubwama joined the race to contest for the seat of Member of Parliament Lubaga South against controversial Ken Lukyamuzi though the comedian lost in DP preminarilies he decided to contest as an independent. Other presenters who were resigned to join politics included; Balunaba banabus ,Daniel (news reader),Christine Nassozi, Tamale Konde.
