HBO’s most successful series of all time has captured the hearts and minds of millions of people. The sixth season of “Game of Thrones” premiered on April 24, and was watched by over 10 million viewers. Throughout premiere night, #GameofThrones was trending globally on social media.
Among those excited viewers were celebrities from every corner of mainstream media. Artist T-Pain was among those famous fans tweeting furiously the evening of the season six premiere. Music icon Madonna actually dressed up as Daenerys Targaryen two years ago, and posted this now-famous photo on Instagram. President Obama is such a big fan that he requested advanced screeners from the showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. “Scandal” star Kerry Washington said “Game of Thrones” is hands-down her favorite show on television — other than her own, of course.
