The move to bring the stars to Mombasa is the governor’s bid to open up Mombasa to investors while placing the city as Kenya’s entertainment hub

In May 2016, a poster started making rounds on social media. It bore information that American RnB superstar, Chris Brown, was coming to Kenya.

Poster had KSh 20,000 for a VIP ticket and KSh 10,000 for a regular ticket when the concert came to be.  It was too good to believe- even with the exorbitantly priced tickets.

Chris Brown’s visit had been rumored to be in August 2016. His concert, according to the poster, would be in Mombasa.

A quick perusal of the artists diary and the alleged Kenya tour proved to be a far-fetched dream because Brown’s Europe tour was set to begin in August 2016.

Reliable sources have revealed that Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho, will be bringing the US star to Mombasa alongside Nigeria’s star, Wizkid.

Among the emcees who will headline the show will be KTN’s Jamal Gadaffi who is  very close to the Mombasa Governor. There is  even a rumour that the young TV host  is being groomed to join politics.
