KORA All-Africa Music Awards, the African continent’s first and premier award ceremony in the musical arts has announced the nominees in the 26 categories for her 2016 edition. The award ceremony taking place at the Windhoek Country Club in Namibia on the 20th of March 2016.
Well respective Ugandan artists got a nod and made it up as nominees, Chameleon and eddy kenzo will tussle it out with Diamond Platinumz{ Tanzania} Emmanual Jal {south sudan}Sat B {burundi} Tendros Erinious {Eritrea} and Awaleh Adan {Djibouti} for the best male artist East Africa while irene Ntale and Julian kanyomwozi together with Victoria Kimani {Kenya} Vennessa Mdee {Tanzania} Knowles Butera {Rwanda} and Kenyan Avril nyambura will be focus on who takes home the best female artist East Africa award home.
Mathias Walukaga his main focus will be on the best traditional artist male, Eddy kenzo and chameleon will once again in another category both of them focus who will win the best video of the year that’s “Zigido” and “wale wale” respectively while the man with the album of the year come 2015 big size Bebe cool “Go mama” {Uganda} his eyes are on the best album of the year category and the other nominees in that category are Suzana lebrano “victoria”{cape verde} The soil “Nostalgic moments” {south africa} EES “Authentic Rebel” {Namibia} Tinariwen “Emaar” {Mali} jovi “mboko God” {Cameroon}
We as enewsug wish all the nominees the best and we pray that at least each and every Ugandan nominee grabs one accolade to bring home, so fans out there lets vote as Uganda not fans.
