In a campaign to fundraise for roofing of school Dormitory in Masaka Bukoto Central Constituency, Member of Parliament representing Bukoto Central Hon Richard Ssebamala pledged to help in the project but it turned out that he took off with Shs5M.
According to Father Gerald Lwanga from Katingindo National Seminary, Hon Ssebamala asked how much the church had collected and they told him Shs5M which he later asked and said he will top up and bring the Iron sheets himself but from February since now, Hon Sebamala keeps on coming up with unrelated stories.
Screenshots of the conversations between Fr. Gerry and Hon Sebamala were leaked on social media and they show how Hon Ssebamala has been playing hide and seek with the Father Lwanga since February until now that Fr. Gerry seems to have given up on the Shs5M and looking for alterntive plans to continue with the Church’s project because many people had lost hope in him thinking he connived with Hon Ssebamala which he says it is not true.
Our efforts to reach Hon Ssebamala were futile as we kept on calling his phone but there was no response.
