It was such a colorful event at Speke Resort Munyonyo as the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) in conjunction with Airtel Uganda award Football players who have exhibited great skills this year. Football lovers and stakeholders on this black- tie affair party were entertained by the Gagamel boss Bebe cool and dance hall Queen Sheebah Karungi.
Farouk Miya won the Male Footballer of the Year award and walked away with a brand new Toyota Premio.
Buikwe Red Stars’ Sandra Nabweteme won the best Female Football Player of Year award. Sandra has scored 152 career goals and she also recieved a brand new car.
Other Awards went to:
Douglas Muganga – Beach Soccer Player of the year.
Paul Ssali – FUFA Presidential Award
Faridah Bulega- Coach of the Year
Mark Ssonko – Referee of the Year
Sc Villa – FUFA Fair Play Award ( Have received the least number of cards 23 Yellow and 2 Red cards)
Tonny Mawejje – Fans Favorite Local player
Andre Ayew – Fans Favorite Player Europe.
