Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade talks about Uganda’s music

Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade who is in country for the 2016 Uganda Entertainment Awards this Friday, was asked by ‘The Beat’ presenter, Lwanga Douglas about how their music has managed to cross international borders and if they also play other music from other countries.

“Yes, we also listen to music around the World and Africa of course, about 5-6 years back, our night clubs and stations also used to play a lot of foreign music till we discussed and came to a conclusion. As of now, 70% of the music played is from Nigerian artistes. We also listen to music from East Africa”, Yemi Alade disclosed while appearing on NTV Uganda.

The ‘Johnny’ hit maker also revealed the Ugandan artiste that she will be recording a song with and she was quick to mention ‘Eddy Kenzo’.
