NXT Radio star, Karitas, does charity as audio-visual station marks 1 year.

NXT Radio’s ‘The Transit’ co-host, Karitas Karisimbi, one of Uganda’s all-time top radio personalities, last weekend took time off to go visit Nalongo Mariam in Kasawo, Mukono district, a mother of 38 that also lost 4 others. A Nalongo (mother of twins) herself, Karitas says the trip was essential for her children, whom she carried along for the charity trip. “My sons needed to see what else could be a possibility in life,” Karitas told us. Karitas and colleagues at 106.1 FM NXT Radio will on Friday 18th October 2019 celebrate Uganda’s first audio-visual radio station making one year in a party set to be hosted at Gabz Lounge, Bugolobi, with listeners of the station currently calling in to win tickets. The station, also available on StarTimes Channel 243, has advertised that they will celebrate the milestone for 6 months, with parties such as that this Friday, concerts, goodies and cash all set to be part of the activities. Congratulations to the fastest growing English radio station upon making 1 year in such a competitive market.
