NTV Uganda where yesterday addressing the public about some of its employees who were quitting the station via their social media platform of facebook but as our Enewsug team followed up the comments of the public on the page, the fans had many issues to speak about as concerning the critea it uses to recruit its workers as quoted by a one Fred W Mutibwa who wrote

NTV u remember a few Months back I wrote about the activities of the station and how u were losing focus and making Ugandan’s more disgusted of your station. U made the station a Tribal statement and only Westerners esp of Ankole and Rwandeese decent work on it. The likes of Moris Mugisha, Nduhukire Tumusiime Witkware, Malcom Musiime and u never give opportunities to people beyond that click. And you’re God Father Andrew Mwenda of the news night who is only doing the role of promoting the candidature of Mr. M7. Secondly the other mistake u made was the business decision u took last year to promote the candidature of NRM-O (JPAM &M7) against the like of Dr. Besigye and others to the level of peddling blackmail against them. I cannot forget the headline “Besigye will back Mbabazi” at a time when he was looking for the ticket of the FDC Presidential flag bearer. He had to call for a press conference to clarify on the propaganda u started on him and up to date, u are still propagating against candidates. NBS has of recent proved to be impartial and it’s why it is picking. No doubt the owner of NBS (Dr. Anus Abudkarim Karisa) doesn’t support both Besigye and Mbabazi but has given both of them overwhelming coverage of their activities like he does for the President. Remove politics and tribalism from your station, everything will be ok”.

NTV also replied back to Fred Mutibwa’s allegations ” Frank Walusimbi, Hatma Naluggwa, Faridah Nakazibwe, Ernest Wisdom Kiyonga, Dean Lubowa, Moses Akena, Maurice Ochol, Chris Ochamringa, Sam Mpoza, Irene Namyalo, Robert Madoi, Juma Kirya, Sam Ssetumba, Julius Ssenkandwa, Joel Khamadi, Rainer Ojon, Ingrid Nantege, Derrick Ntege, Francis Jjingo, Agnes Nandutu, Ivan Kimuli Kigozi, Joel Ssenyonyi etc These and many more are the names of non-westerners and this is only in the newsroom (who appear on TV) there are many more in production and other technical departments. Fred W Mutibwa you have the right to criticize the station but at least do so based on fact. NTV is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate. We hire strictly on merit“.
