TOYOTA TO RECALL 6.5MILLION VEHICLES GLOBALLY OVER WINDOW DEFECT

  Due to faulty window switch that presented a fire risk, Toyota is recall 6.5M vehicles. “The power switch could short circuit causing parts to over heat and potentially leading to a fire,” the company said. The recalled models include, Yaris, Corolla, Camry, Highlander and Rav4 produced between 2005 and 2010. About 2.7M affected vehicles wete sold in North America, 1.2M in Europe and 600,000 in Japan. Toyota has been working to regain its reputation after recalling over 10M vehicles because of faulty airbags.
