Victoria University Azam premier league side Sports clubs Victoria university defeated a Kamwokya select side 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 All draw in 90mins and extra time at Kira Rd grounds on Wednesday evening in a game that was watched by a massive crowd organised by kampala central Member of Parliament and Scvu boss Muhammad Nsereko Zake who also featured for some minutes. Both sides started lively and it was the visitors who got the first attempt in the 1st min with Nelson Male made goal keeper Ashraf Lubega to make a save.
Minutes later, Serunjogi Christopher came close to break the dead lock but was denied by U-17 custodian Eric Eiboowa. In the 22nd minute Scvu finally broke the deadlock through Nsereko Male after a clever through pass from trialist Jackson Nunda to Nsereko who made no mistake to find the back of the net.
It took only 8mins for the home team to equalize through captain of the day and man of the match Kaliisa Gordon from a penalty kick after Kato Ivan was brought down in the box by Scvu captain Asuman Alyshey.
In the 2nd half, both sides made changes that saw Scvu boss Muhammad Nsereko coming in for Scvu and Uganda Cranes star Savio Kabugo coming in for Kamwokya select after nearly close to 7 months without playing due to injury. In the 47th min., the visitors again restored their lead through Semanda Charles and from there they dominated the entire 2nd half withKamwokya select looking a shadow of them selves compared to their 1st half display.
Scvu goalie saved from Ssenabulya Emma and fellow goalie Ashraf Lubega before Katoite sealed it for Scvu making it 2-4 from the shoot outs.
