Yalelo Uganda opens Premium Fish Outlet In Jinja

Jinja town has, only a few weeks after being made a city, started registering massive developmental strides. While speaking during the launch of Yalelo Uganda, Uganda’s first fish outlet in Jinja, the mayor of Jinja town, Majid Batambuze applauded the Government for laying such great foundations for investors to develop Jinja town.

“The Yalelo Uganda Fish outlet has come at the right time, and is plugging right into the overarching developmental plan of attracting and onboarding new investors to the city of Jinja. We are in the process of making infrastructural remodeling and renovation in order to enable businesses to thrive easily. The fact that Yalelo Uganda has opened shop in Uganda will not only create employment opportunities, but as well attract more investors to the city,” Majid Batambuze stated during the launch.

The 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom Hon Hosman Nuru Hamid also applauded Yalelo Uganda for leading the race in value addition. He emphasized the need for value addition for traders, in correspondence with the key areas of focus of the president of the country, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

“It’s a great opportunity for Jinja and Busoga to be the first city in the country to have an outlet of an international Fish processing chain in the caliber of Yalelo. Let’s support the innovation, let’s buy fish since the business has also employed our very own from the region,” stated Hon Hosman Nuru.

Speaking on behalf of Yalelo Uganda at their newly launched premises on Nizam Road, Jinja, Mr . Martin Kasasila, the Commercial Director promised expansion of Yalelo to other towns around the country with a target of 30 outlets.

“80 of our employees are from jinja, and the numbers will double soon. Our commitment is to producing the highest quality fresh fish in Uganda, processed with maximum hygiene standards, at the lowest price. We take pride in the fact that we have cultivated top notch capacity to process and deliver the freshest fish from Lake Victoria at unbelievably cheap prices. You can buy fish from as low as 5,400 ugx and a kilogram goes for just 12,000 ugx,” said Martin Kasasila, the commercial director of Yalelo Uganda.
